Identity - ID
ID is a group for young people from the age of 14 to approximately 18 years old. We meet every Sunday evening from 7:45pm to 9:15pm and spend time getting to know God and each other better. We explore what God has to say about relevant issues for young people, study the bible and have a lot of fun. More recently we spent time watching the ‘Jesus Series’ DVDs and learnt how Jesus’ life and death has an impact on our lives.
We undertake fun and creative projects like making this video on the topic of resurrection http://vimeo.com/39980070 and we plan to get more involved with the music ministry in church. ID is a safe place where everyone is accepted for who they are and can be honest about their walk with God and the issues that matter to them.
Youth Church
We are a group of 1st through 3rd years who meet on a regular basis (on Sunday mornings) in the café area of church to study God's word and pray together, facilitated by one of the church members. Through various activities, discussion, games and the use of technology, we are challenged on subjects such as; relationships, greed, idolatory, who Christ is, whether or not the bible/God is real and or relevant, where other religions come in and our role in school/in church/in society. Every time we meet we are provided with food and the aim is to have fun and to develop as individuals.
